Tuli Asturias is one of the most talented skin makers on the grid, and I get excited every time she creates something new. Coming this Friday is “Jade”, she’s got a bit of Hope in her, and some Eva too. Jade is softer than Tuli’s last couple of releases and as usual will come with various eyebrow and cleavage options, and a fantastic selection of makeup.

Jade comes in 5 skin tones, and Tuli does pale so beautifully; you can tell it’s her favorite because she often creates special makeups available only on that tone! I love the pink and gold, I love the 2-tone lips; I wonder what I need to do to bribe her to make a whole series of makeups like this!

I was planning for a shoot and looking for a skin with some fun makeup, something really glam and outrageous. As usual, it was Feles who came to my rescue; she brought me to Detour and I wanted the whole Audrey line. Yes, I have photoshopped these like mad, but, these skins just ask to be part of art, and not just a snapshot. You always try skin demos anyway right?
Each skins pack comes with 4 gorgeous makeups, I usually prefer to have the option of purchasing a single skin, but L$3000 for 4 completely different makeups is a great price so it was totally worth it. In the pack I purchased –set 5– the eye makeup is very bold, but perfectly blended; the lips are drawn big, which is appropriate for the glam look of the skin. I am not crazy about the belly, and will probably wear a long shirt to cover it, but the rest of the body shading is more realistic. The set also comes with a shape that has a darling face I really like and a cute-curvy body. (not photographed here)
Other items in these shots come from some of my favorite creators in SL. Most of the jewelry comes from Tekeli-li and it’s all scripted for color change. If you don’t own anything from Tekeli-li, I suggest you get down there, now. He’s got everything from jewelry to full fantasy avatars, merfolk to sci-fi and warriors. The flower collar in the first shot comes from Haunted Zuzu, and is also color change. Part of the Material Squirrel empire, Haunted Zuzu is another shop that mixes fantasy and fasion.
The colors Sabina Gully uses for her Magika hair are often the first thing I think of when I am putting together a colorful look. Her reds and wild tones are bold without being bright, making them my favorite non-natural hair colors on the grid.
The last item I want to mention are my lashes. I am super picky with lashes; I don’t want them to be too long or too bold, I want them to be striking without taking attention away from the more important parts of my look. I almost exclusively wear lashes from Crissy Designs. Her other items aren’t my cup of tea, but I love her lashes, and at L$50 each, you really can’t go wrong.
