tutorials & resources

I’ve been using Photoshop for a long time, and equally important, I have lots of experience teaching Photoshop. My students have ranged from professional photographers to hobbyists to middle school and high school students. I have written curriculum and tutorials that were used in high school and college settings, and I’ve been sworn to secrecy by wildlife photographers to never tell anyone their tricks!

I love teaching, so when I have time I will be slowly adding to this collection of tutorials. If you have specific questions, you can always hire me for a private lesson! but I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite techniques here too. I’m not sure how I am going to organize this page yet, but in the meantime, I’ll list my video tutorials here. Or you can just check out my youtube channel for them all.

windlight settings

Here are my Windlight Settings. Most of them are pretty fantastic skies without heavy shadows (I made those all pre-shadow viewers) but a little tweaking of the sun position and east angle will change that, so experiment. Strawberry Singh has a great list of Windlight resources here, too, check it out.
